what was the fuel cunsumption too?

the gm parts catalog only lists one # for this application. it doesn't say how many gallons it held. i went to http://www.carpartsdiscount.com
they show it to hold 18 gallons. since this is a direct replacement for the original it must be the same size. also, i don't believe manufacturers were required to give mileage estimates in 72. if they were it was one of the 1st years they did.

the 1972 chevy nova 2 ss had 22 gallon gas tanks

i had one that would only hold about 12 gallons. maybe some had larger ones, but mine only took 12.
