Could be several things: You and your partner could be passing this back and forth to each other. If so, you both have to be treated. Or, you have systemic yeast infection, which means it is present throughout your body. If this is the case, you need to quit eating sweets, bread and anything yeasty and treat it by seeing you Dr. for Rx. There is an oral med called Diflucan that requires a Rx; you only take 1 a week x 2 weeks. Then go to a good health food/products store and ask for Acidopholous capsules and Pau d' Arco. The Acid. will help restore your normal body environment and PdA will keep the yeast at bay by also providing the proper balance of nutrients to keep your immune system strong. But if you are having unprotected sex, this is one of the risks you take and certainly not the biggest of your worries. See your Gyn. Dr. about this.

If you have had more then three yest infections in the last six or so months, then I would go talk to your doctor. As well as both you and your sex partner need to go get checked out. In some cases, some females have higher risks to getting more yest infestions then other females, but you do need to go see a gyn doctor.

To get rid of yeast infections, try plain yogurt with active culture. Eat a cup or two a day and NO MORE YEAST! Drinking buttermilk is good for this too. You can even use yogurt as a vaginal wash or douche. Yeast infections don't like live culture yogurt.

I get chronic yeast infections from the pill. I found out it was a ph imbalance. Try RePhresh...it's kind of expensive, but has made a world of difference. I swear it works and I feel so much better. Yeast infections are terrible.

I agree with this and the yogurt theory:

Number of things: Did you take ALL of the medication to eliminate the infection..... Do you wear tight jeans.... Do you wear panty hose..... Do you sleep in your underwear.... All of the above could contribute to recurring yeast infection... If not confer with your physician....

I've over heard women talking, they say that a man that has sex with one female, then goes straight to another female, has sex with her will cause this yeast infection.

Men can carry yeast infections on their skin. If you get an infection you can give it to your partner - who won't notice because his skin is not as sensitive. In this case no matter how ofter you cure your infection your partner can always pass it back. You doctor can give you a creme to have your partner use to get rid of it on him so he won't give it back to you.
