a babys heart will start beating around 5-6 weeks after conception which can usually be seen on a sonogram at this time. Usually you can hear your babys heart beat around 9-10 weeks by doppler but it depends on the size and location of the baby. also in my case i didnt get to hear it for the first time until i was 12 weeks because I have a tilted uterus so it made it harder to detect so dont be alarmed if they cant find it at an earlier appointment.

I heard my baby's heartbeat for the first time at 6 weeks. They had to do an internal ultrasound to hear it though. The next time was at 14 weeks on the outside.

It just depends on the position of the baby. Usually about 6-9 weeks into the pregnancy.

I just had my baby 6wks ago. The first time we heard the heartbeat was at 4wks. I didn't know that I was pregnant. In fact the doctor had told me I wouldn't be able to have kids, so what a surprise when all of a sudden the doctor heard a heartbeat, I had just gone to the doctor to see if I was diabetic.I was so happy to find out I was pregnant.

for all related pregnancy questions check out www.msn.com, then i think family then pregancy and kids. there you find answers to almost anything. at 14 weeks your baby is COMPLELETY formed and will only grow after that, all organs etc are done at 14 weeks .. that is why most nausea etc, subsides because the developmental phase in a way is done after that!!! what week exactly the heart starts pumping i am not sure but its before the 14 weeks!

Usually around 7-10 weeks gestation. I think 7 weeks they can hear it on doppler and 10weeks they can see it on ultrasound. Congratulations!!!!!!!!! IT's the most amazing sound in this world to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even better when you see it, then when you feel it move for the first time. The bestest is when it finally comes out to be with you. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope all goes well for you and your family
