For people in the U.S. who don't live in Indiana and who were not born in Indiana, what does Indiana evoke in you?

What do you think when you hear about Indiana? (images, stereotypes, etc.)

Indiana is one of the most cleanest and beautiful states in the USA, at least when I passed thru there. It was Autumn and the leafs were falling, the weather was crisp and the air so clean and fresh, the people were so nice and friendly and so clean cut looking. No trash or litter on the street or sidewalks. Neighborhoods lined with beautiful trimmed trees and the houses so cozy .. Even the noise level seemed to be lower so that you could hear NATURE; birds singing, leafs rustling, brooks coming alive..

My grandpa was from Indiana but left there when he was a young man. He always wanted to go back. I had never been there until I made a cross country trip and stopped to enjoy the beauty of Autumn in Indiana for a few days.

There's some very raunchy football fans there. But they do have a very cute Pro Race Car guy too, so i guess it isn't too bad. Parts of the State is pretty as long as it isn't to close to Chicago.
