Yes, I have, but I'll qualify that by saying that outstripping the master must be the goal of both the master and the pupil.

Yes in my previous job that sort of happened. That was fine though, I was good friends with my "master". **then why do I not work there anymore is irrelevant**

in my first job i did.i dnt like to brag but i became the best in my factory at the job i did & there were a lot of ppl there that hated me for it

if you mean have I ever known more than my boss.....yes. She knew it and rather than go with my idea, she ridiculed me for having an idea that wouldn't work.
