Nov 5 2006, Redskins vs Cowboys. With about 3 seconds left, the Cowboys attempt a field goal, which is blocked, recovered by Redskins and advanced to Redskins' field goal range (A penalty was also assessed, but it's not part of the question).
On the NEXT PLAY FROM SCRIMMAGE, the Redskins kick a field goal.
Has that ever happened before in the NFL? How about in any (american) football game? Field Goal Attempts by opposing teams on sequential plays???

no longer a meaningless container purpose in any respect. They nevertheless had approximately 10 seconds left and it replaced right into a 2 score interest. As a lot of an prolonged shot as this is, its the spectacular call. you're taking the three on an analogous time as there is time left for an onside kick, while in case you dropped back and threw it deep the clock might expire no longer permitting you to purpose the onside kick. needless to say a ludicrous long shot, and a foul ending to a foul interest, yet for as quickly as a heady call via the Raiders training team. And that should have coated the unfold, yet not one of the coaches making that determination could make a threat greater suitable than their NFL paycheck, so it form of feels no longer likely the Raiders have been thinking of protecting the 9. to boot in the event that they have been caught making a threat on video games they might needless to say and on the instant be ousted from the NFL. That seems to volatile. or maybe the Raiders does no longer guess on the Raiders!

I'm not sure if it has either, but it was one hell of a game! And the penatly was the reason that the Skins got the chance to kick the second field goal, so it is important to the question.

HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!
