Because the husband was a cad, so the wife told him to take him and his loins and go sleep on the couch!

As for the Lion.. well, I think he can sleep tonight, tomorrow, any time he wants too!
I'm certainly not going to argue with a lion! :)

Male lions are actually some of the laziest animals in the world. He has his lioness's do most of the work for him (I intentionally avoided the obvious pun.) He just comes along after the kill has been made and takes whatever he wants. Most of his life is spent fending off other males, eating, sleeping and copulating. So it is no surprise that the lion is sleeping tonight, just be on the look out for a lioness.

Thank goodness you "meant Lion" b/c I was worried about why a loin would sleep tonight?
Apparently the lion sleeps outside the tiny village so the darling will have no fear.
