Hi...I have been married now for 4 months but I have been noticing this problem since my husband and I have been together which is 2 1/2 years.....There is nothing wrong on his part...its just me. It seems that I just dont have the drive for sex anymore. I would love to take something herbal to help me....but...I am on birth control...which means I cant really take much of anything...Does anyone know of anything herbal that helps with low sex drive that doesnt interact with Birth control? I also purchased Elexia For Women Sensitivity Maximum but I havent taken it because Im not sure if it interacts with Birth Control...so if anyone knows anything about that please let me know also.

The Pill can affect your sex drive. Any time you alter your body's chemistry and hormone balance you can be pretty sure it will affect your sex drive. This is what the Pill does to prevent pregnancy. Maybe you should talk to your doctor about switching Pills or try another method of birth control. You can try charting your cycle for a natural method of birth control but natural methods are not as reliable for preventing pregnancy. What is worse - not having a sex drive or having a surprise pregnancy? I had a surprise pregnancy four years ago and would not go back and change a thing!

The only herbal supplement that would have any effect on birth control is St. John's Wort, which would slow the bodies ability to absorb the medication and slow its effectiveness. Since Elexia does not have any St. John's Wort in it, it would be safe to take.

Please talk to your doctor. This is way to early in your marriage for this to be happening to you. Sometimes women do have a low sex drive, but it sounds like you may need a little more help. Please try and rule out a physical problem first and then maybe see a counselor if you are physically fine.

Sex is a wonderful part of a good marriage. You shouldn't have to miss out.

I have also been married four months and me and my husband were together for 21/2 years as well. We haven't had that problem but please don't take medicine to help try other things like warming gels, wear slinky nighties, candles, make sex special again for you two.
