Why do you think? Is it justice to allow a man who has been termed the "Butcher of Baghdad" to be given other punishment than to be put to death?

I am a bit more concerned about who speaks for the UK.. that is a pretty broad statement and suggests it must have originated from the BBC....

No. I feel that death is the just and right punishment for what he has done as a dictator. He was the leader of a nation, a nation that he oppressed with forced poverty, coersion and fear. He had his own son in law executed, for pete's sake. How can anyone feel that hanging is not the right punishment for what he has done? There are hundreds of thousands of people that are not with their families because of him. It disgusts me to read in the other questions answers given by people saying that his life should be spared. What about all those lives the he didn't spare? What about the lives of the three poor attorneyes that were killed trying to defend him? Just hurry up and get on with the appeal so that everyone can move on and close this nightmare as well as can be expected.

He deserves to die even slower than hanging affords. As cruel as it may sound I wish they could stone him like in the old days. Each family member of those he killed should be given one stone to throw at him.

Personally I think he should rot in jail. He will become a martyr if they kill him, just like a suicide-bomber.
