I'm 12 almost 13 and I've got lots of pimples, around my nose, on my chin & forehead, between my eyes and nose, and lots of other places in my face. What should I do? I wash my face with soap and water, with a liquid gel and I put an overnight gel. I eat chocolate; but I'm not a FAN of chocolate. I eat greasy foods, but I'm not overweight....

To the person who said "BOP THEM", you should know that if you "bop" them, they leave a mark. No thanks.

CJ, the persa gel of clean & clear is the one I use! According to my mother, I have less pimples, but I see no difference.

Okay, I'll start by drinking LOTS of water. How much am I supposed to drink?

EXERCISE. I'm skinny. Should I exercise anyway?

Junk food? I don't eat that much. I might go to McDonald's once every...3 weeks maybe? And sweets? Maybe I eat to many...!

Proactiv as you see on TV, works very well. Or if you can't order that, get "Persa Gel Clean and Clear", and use it every night before bed, leaving it on overnight.

Washing your face is okay but it can irritate already red spots. You need some kind of benzoyl peroxide medication, like the Proactiv or Persa Gel

If you have insurance and it will cover a dermatologist, go see a doctor. That's your best bet. I just went to one. I'm 25 and never had a problem til now. It's probably something that will need to be fixed from the inside out. It may not be from anything that you are eating or a particular face wash. It's probably hormones. I use cetaphil cleanser. You can get it at Walmart and it's dermatologist recommended. I also use the cetaphil moisturizer. Try not to pop your pimples. I know it's easier said than done. I popped all of mine for the last couple months and I have scars all over my chin. My doctor put me on a medicine called spironolactone which is working well for me (minus the side effects like headache). Also, I think avoiding eating too many sweets may help you out. I notice that when I binge on garbage food, I break out more. Drink plenty of water and eat fruits and vegetables and exercise. Leading a healthy lifestyle can't hurt right? I hope this helps. Good luck. P.S. ProActive made me break out really bad. I'd never recommend it to anyone.

you are right, don't pop them! It will leave scaring!!
I been using Mary Kay facial cleanser which seems to be working quite well for me. There are so many different types of cleansers and gels out there, i think you should see a dermatologist. They can prescribe you some medicine to use on a daily basis and also tell you which face wash is best for you skin and type. My dermatologist prescribed me Retin A Micro (gel) to use every night after i wash my face before bed, and Cleoction T (lotion) every morning after i wash my face. The combination of these two have helped my tremendously...
I'm sure you'll get tons of answers saying to buy Proactiv, but I've tried it and it didn't work for me at all, but I didn't have a whole lot of blemishes. My sister has been using it for 3-4 months now and she has seen NO improvement either, and her acne is getting pretty bad!! But It may work for some people and not others, either way I saw on the Today show segment that there is a product basically the same you can buy at your local drug store and it has the exact same ingredients in it as Proactiv and was proven to work just as well!!
Good luck to you and I wish you the best!!

Okay, first of all you need to use a cleanser that is made for washing you face, not your body. Then, use a toner to help normailze your skin's PH balance. Once or twice a week you should use an exfoliant to get all of the dry, dead skin cells off of the surface of your skin because the build up of those layers will trap oil in the pores and cause pimples. You should also use a light, oil free moisturizer (yes, even if your skin is not dry you need one) with a sunscreen to protect your skin from environmental damage which also causes breakouts. You can get these at Target or the drugstore, try Clean&Clear. It's affordable and they have a good selection.
Junk food and lack of exercise has nothing to do with your problem and do not put alcohol on your face, it will make your skin too dry and it will over produce oil and cause even more breakouts!!!

I have the same problem, sort of... I'm 12 as well but I'm turning 13 in a year. I have very mild acne. I rarely have pimples, but when I do have them, they are usually on my forehead.

I recommend using Collective Wellbeing. The products are amazing especially the Aloe Vera/Sea Kelp cleansing gel. It is about ten dollars but it is worth it. Your pimples will disappear in three days or so.

You should also try moisturizer after cleansing your face. I use Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 15.

But the best way to say good bye to those hideous pimples is to drink a lot of water and eat healthy. Water flushes out the toxins from your body. Green tea is also helpful.

It's so easy..cut back on those greasy foods. I've been eating a lot of fast foods recently and noticed a severe change in my complexion. Greasy foods do a number on your face. Stick to healthy foods like fruits and vegetables..drink tons of water as well! If the acne still persists, I would suggest seeing a dermatologist. They will prescribe you medicine that will clear it right up. ProActiv is what everybody is going to tell you to use, but it doesn't work for everybody so its more logical to go to a doctor. But remember, cut the grease! Hope it helped!

I would really suggest that you ask a Dr. because what if you get some bad advice and it scares you face. But if you don't want to go to the Dr., You can by gloves that are a little rough to wash your face with. Maybe your dead skin is blocking your pores and causing you to have pimles. They say soap is so bad for our faces. I used it for years and I use a product called Arbonne and my face feels so good now. Good luck

I'm 14 in i use Nuetrogena and that works for. Its real good you can get different kinds too. I don't think it always has something to do with what you eat, but what products you re putting on your face too. But i thin you should try that or if that doesn't work Clean and Clear is good to use also.. Hope you find something that helps. ( DO NOT POP THEM ITS ONLY GOING TO MAKE IT WORST! TRUST ME ON THAT 1 )

See if you parents can get you to a dermatologist or try proactiv. Your body is changing so you might have to ride it out for a while. Don't stress too much. It happens to everyone. Just keep your face clean and take vitamins.
