Adjustment of the ignition timing is not provided for, as it is controlled exclusively by the PCM. Unless you have a V-6 engine.
In that case, you should read the label under the hood that indicates to you what the BASE TIMING position should be. It also details the steps required for adjustment/check.
It is important that you follow the procedure exactly, or you can create performance problems, and possibly cause engine damage. The timing connector for that model is most likely beneath the dash and heater case, on the passenger's side, just behind the carpet seam at the firewall.

If a 4.3, you time with a light AFTER you disconnect the single tan wire under dashboard above pass feet area. Time it to specs on emission label, shut it off, reconnect wire and that's it.

Timing is computer controlled wit no adjustments allowed.Distributorless ignition also.
