You should talk to her doctor, but most will not immunize a baby under the age of 6 months for influenza unless there is an underlying health condition....and usually they need to be pretty close to 6 months of age.
Should you decide that your daughter needs to be immunized next flu season (and I would if she is in day care!!!), she will need two shots one month apart. After the first set of shots, the next year she will only need one. I have gotten my three immunized every year (mainly because of two of them have asthma issues), and they have never gotten sick.

If the toddler is over the two six or 9 months previous (I forget precisely which at this 2nd) they could and ought to have it. in the experience that your daughter is 3 weeks previous now, she'll be a splash too youthful on the commencing up of flu season(we initiate giving out the vaccine in mid-October) - meaning you need to take different precautions (which contain vaccinating all of us else interior the residing house, minimizing exposure to places the place there are ill human beings, being dilligent approximately hand-washing, and so forth.) until eventually she's a minimum of six months previous. learn have shown that if somebody gets a flu shot previous due interior the season, it will nevertheless prevail for something. regardless of if, the different certainty is - the flu shot does no longer safeguard against each tension of influenza - basically those that the CDC determines to be the main prevailent of the 300 and sixty 5 days.

My 9 mo old son just had his flu shot. They say that it's only safe to give to babies over 6 months old. Even then, they split the shots into 2 shots for the younger kids. My son has to go back in a month.

There is not influenza vaccine approved for children under six months. It's unfortunate, but you're baby won't be able to get the flu shot this flu season.

In Canada they give the flu shot at 6 months. If you and those around your baby get the shot though she will be pretty well protected.

I'm glad I can get to you before, instaed of after.
Don't do this to your baby - it's very dangerous.
Do NOT get vaccinated.
A vaccinated person is MORE likely to get a disease than a non-vaccinated person. The whole theory of vaccination is flawed. It causes a weakening of the immune system thus making those who are innoculated more susceptible to disease.
There are so many awful side effects to vaccination that it should be considered extremely dangerous.
Just sit back and think for a while.
Is there any sense in injecting a disease directly into your body.
We have been subjected to an awful mind control program to enable the drug manufacturers to make a fortune.

You will find all the forms necessary to provide exemption for your child.

AAP guideline is 6 months old and older for the flu shot. Under six months of age parents and older siblings (esp. school age) should get flu shots and then be super dilligent about hand washing, etc.

I've heard that they start giving children the flu shot at 6 months. Our daughter is getting hers this week, she's 10 months.
Your best bet is to call your pediatrician and ask them.
Good luck.

Babies and the elderly are recommended to get flu shots as it can be very dangerous for them to get dehydrated. And it can happen very quickly.
