ok ,
you need to plot a graph of the equation 2x^2-4x-3 .
to b more clear: 2*x^2 - 4*x - 3
For that u need to take the horizontal axis as x = 0,1,2,3,...
and vertical axis (y axis ) as 2x^2-4x-3
For every value of x obtain a value for y,
eg.
for x = 0 ; 2x^2-4x-3 = 2 * 0^2 - 4*0 - 3 = -3
for x = 1 ; 2x^2-4x-3 = 2 * 1^2 - 4*1 - 3 = 2 - 4 - 3 = -5
for x = 2 ; 2x^2-4x-3 = 2 * 2^2 - 4*2 - 3 = 8 - 8 - 3 = -3
.
.
.
.
and so on for as many points you need to plot
now with values of y as -3,-5,-3 corresponding to x = 0,1,2 plot appropriate points and join them to obtain the graph.
to plot a point , take the first point (0,-3) thats for x = 0 , y = -3,
and so on (1,-2) & (2,-3).
I hope this helps :)

Assuming you mean (2x^2)-4x-3, its just like any other equation. Substitute 0 for x and solve for an answer. Then, plug in every other number you feel you need until you get a smooth curve made of points, and connect the dots. If your math teacher is trying to teach you some more complicated method, its a waste of time that only has applications for things that are better done with a computer.
The end result should look like a parabola that opens upwards and is shifted a little to the right of the Y axis.

To graph 2x^2 - 4x - 3, you plug in numbers for x and determine what the y coordinate is.
For example, if you plug in 0 for x, you get 0-0-3= -3 = y. So draw a dot in the graph at (0,-3). If you plug in 1 for x, you get 2-4-3= -5 = y. Draw a dot in the graph at (1, -5). Keep doing this until you are able to draw a line through all the points you draw on the graph.

Make the equation look like this:
y=2x^2-4x-3
Now, plug in numbers for x and plot them on the graphing paper to graph them.

2x=(-4x-3)^2 ,then x=? if you want to ask that then,
2x=(-(4x-3))^2
2x=(4x-3)^2
2x=16x^2-24x+9
26x-16x^2=9
2x(13-8x)=9
13=9/2x+8x
13=12.5x
13/12.5=x
x=1.04 and if that is not what you are asking then no idea..specify
