Like the person said above me, it's all staged. I don't know why they put the number up to call (If you are husband that wants to tell your wife so and so...). I guess they put up the little 1-800 call in just to appear genuine.

My uncle dated a woman a few years back who's (soon to be ex-husband) wanted her and him to go on Jerry Springer. She was flown out to Chicago (from Portland, Or) and put up in a hotel. She was such a ditz she went out w/ no money some how thinking they were paying for everything and ended up having to have money wired to her. Sounds like someone w/ the brain power to be on Springer AH?

on another note about 15 years ago my mom's husbands best friend went on Sally Jesse. His daughter was about to get married and didn't want her dad to walk her down the isle (she wanted her brother) cause there dad had had an affair w/ there once baby sitter, divorced there mom and started a second family. My parents tapped the episode so i got to see the daughter drag her personal drama all over the television for the world to see.

He is a real person, and it is a real show. However I have read in numerous publications that the entire show is staged. Even Steve is an actor. There is nothing genuine about that show.

His whole show is staged. The people you see on there are paid actors and bad ones at that!

The show is completely choreographed. The problems might be real, but the guests are told how to handle it.
