Unfortunately, time is the only cure-all for you. Take it from me. I truly loved someone a while back who totally took advantage of me, and used me for a booty call. Once I realized that I was better off without him, I started to heal. For a long time (like 6 months) I wouldn't try to go out with anyone. Finally, when I did, I made sure I knew that person before I made any decisions on whether or not I wanted to date him. I mean, I knew this person well enough that I could answer the What If's, that I found myself asking constantly. Hang in there. You're not alone. I tried counseling and although it wasn't my favorite thing to do, it did help get some stuff off chest. My advise is to take things slowly when you find that another relationship is what you're ready for. Become friends, then if you feel secure enough, ask them out for dinner, and a movie.

Hope this helps!
Best of luck.

You should give yourself some time to heal. There is nothing wrong with crying a lot and just let it all out. Spend time with family, talk to your family and friends, work-out. I know that the beginning is the worst but you will notice that after a while you will start to feel better. It is a day to day process. Take it easy.

no there is no cure only time, Why don't you look at this relationship as a learning lesson, Why have you gotten your self in so deep that when left on your own you end up like this? You are an adult stop with the child like thinking and get on with your life. You may think you need sympathy, but you need a good kick in the butt more.

honestly, most of these anwsers are crap. TIME heals nothing. it is all a state of mind, and that is ALL that it is.when you are ready, you will get over it. that is it. a lazy person would call that time, but in reality it is simply your willpower that is the best medicine. meet strangers, be outgoing and friendly. pick and choose what you like about these random people and instead of putting up walls, place boundries about what you DO NOT want next. that simple. time maybe...will power, absolutely

Time will heal. Distractions from thinking about it such as dating someone else or spending time with friends will help.
