The non-official start of the Christmas shopping season is the day after Thanksgiving--Black Friday. However, I know people who start shopping right after Halloween!! Crazy!

It all depends on who you are I guess. I personally like to start at the end of November. My Grandma would start Boxing Day, shopping for next years Christmas gifts. A little too early I'd say, but she had lots of people on her list and loved to shop lol

Traditionally it was the day after Thanksgiving, but I have already seen sales and commercials for holiday shopping now. I think the season is starting earlier and earlier!
