Started BC Oct. 12. Had unprotected sex several times from Oct. 13-18th. Still continued to take 21 pills and now there's no period during my placebo days which will end tomorrow. Boob soreness, severe nausea, fatigue, frequent urination, general uneasiness. Took home test and negative. Have a doc's appt. Thursday for a blood test. What do you think? What are the chances when I was taking the BC? Could all this just be side effects from the pill?

I don't know your personal health history so I am just guessing here, but I can tell you what happened to me. I was on birth control for over 3 years and just recently found out I am pregnant. I missed my period (stop the pills of course), had no other signs of pregnancy other than a tight abdomen area and mild lower back pains. Well, I also spotted for less than one day two days before my period was suppose to start (called implantation bleeding which occurs 10-12 days after conception). I took two at home test and both were negative. I went to the doctors and took a urine test that come out negative. They then gave me a blood test and found that I was pregnant. It turns out I was only 2 weeks along and also some women do not have the hormone needed to detect pregnancy through urine until later in the pregnancy. Also despite what those at home test tell you, most cannot truly detect the pregnancy hormone until at least a week after the missed period. I have attached some links that were helpful to me, but remember only a doctor can tell you want you really need or if you are pregnant as I only have 1 or two symptoms of pregnancy along with the missed period.

some birth control pills only allow you to have a few periods a year. Are you late?? I know breast soreness occurs when you are pregnant and when you are about to start your period so that doesn't mean anything. Fatigue happens after a few weeks. Frequent urination happens after a few months when the fetus is bigger and presses down on your bladder. You could just be stressed.

OMG sure!!! I entirely agree! I am looking to grow to be a DOCTOR, k? So of direction I consider that being pregnant is the excellent time period. Prego appears like pasta sauce and preggers appears like a sickness....either one of which don't have anything to do with pregnacies! Anyways, CONGRATS!!!! I'm definite you are going to have a lovely, healthful little one. Best of needs!!!

First hate the term preggers, sounds like a child, It's probably the effect of the BC pills.

It sounds like ur preggers. Even if your on the pill, getting preggers is still a chance.

I doubt all those symptoms are from the BC.

read about the pills. THey may be side-affects from the pills.

you need to give BC a full monthly cycle before it's effective.....if you are 'preggers', pray for no damage to the fetus....
