I personally have not done this but I know a friend who has. She re-wrapped a gift her father-in law had given her and returned it to him. He didn't seem to realize that it was the same gift and if he did, he didn't say anything.

yes, well sort of. I got the ugliest cookie jar from my best friend, so the following year I rewrapped it and give it to her sister who collects that kind of stuff ..... that was last Christmas and up to this point, nothing has been said to me.

NO!! I would NEVER rewrap a gift to give to another person anyway.. That is tacky & low class....

not that i know of....

but if i would do it at one point i would wait like 5 years or something so that person wouldn't relize that it was the same thing.
