What Changes Would You Like To See Take Place In The United States, Once Pres. Bush's Term Has Ended?

What issues will our new President have to deal with? What changes, as far as our government and foreign policy goes,do you think the new President should implement?

Tax reform. Social Security reform (phase out) Flushing many social programs off of the books. Generally just returning to a smaller government.

i would like to see the Constitution repaired, environmental protections re-instituted and increased, the school system return to teaching children instead of just preparing for tests, an end to US involement in the rediculous mess GW made of Iraq, our National Guard returned to safeguarding our Home turf, government ethics rules formulated and enforced including campaign finance reform, voting practices overhauled AGAIN but this time for real, funding for scientific research into alternative energies and stem cells, a REAL investigation into 9/11 and the justifications for the Iraq war, some kind of national healthcare program.

thats my wish list just off the top of my head.

I think we need to put in place a law that really punishes businesses who employ illegal immigrants. I think we need to reconsider our position in Iraq, but not pull out immediately. There isn't much else they have to worry about; our country is doing very well, so they should probably make sure our policies remain consistant, or that any new policy is eased in.

Institute new safeguards against one whacko president ruling he/she is immune to any law of the land and any act of congress and has full and total authority to do whatever he/she pleases.
