15 Year Old Schoolboy allegedly stabbed then burnt to death by 3 Pakistani men in their late 20's.

After the horric murder of Steven Lawrence, the press were falling all over themselves to report, infact it's still national news on the aniversary - Why not for this lad - Is it because he is white? might it start people thinking that racism is evident in all communities - not just the white.

The state of this counrty sickens me!!

I don't know where you are based, but we know all about it up north. any kind of murder is sickening, no matter what the motive, the outcome is still the same

It's hard to define a hate crime when the victim is a member of the ethnic majority. The police and prosecutors would have to prove that the three Pakistani men that are accused of the crime have a prejudice against whites. I'm definitely not saying that what they did was right, but the press has the responsibility to fairly and accurately report the news. They don't always do this, I know, but this is not an isolated incident, or an unusual one. Caucasions are vicitims of homicides every day in the USA, and minorities are accused of their deaths everyday. If the press reported on every single white person that was killed by a non-white person, the evening news would be 5 hours long. Be realistic - a dog biting a man is not news, but a man biting a dog is.

Thank you for raising this issue. The one good thing about not giving this incident publicity is that at least this poor boy's family are being left alone by the press. It is bad enough suffering what they have -- and are -- and it must be a relief not to have journalists dogging them morning, noon and night. There are far more racist attacks of white people than the authorities are prepared to admit. May Kriss's soul rest in peace.

Its probably for the same reason that the Pakistani Muslim who attacked my BF's boss with a police truncheon, beating him unconcious and putting him in hospital with severe head wounds requiring 15 stiches, got away scott free with it.

It was over a row about the family cat!

The press weren't interested at all.

When the poilce interviewed the Pakistani guy, his family had conveniently "disposed" of the evidence (the bloodied truncheon) and he said he did it because BF's boss made a "racist remark" to him.

So he was let off and BF's boss (still in agony from his head wounds) was arrested for "making racist comments".

So lets get this straight, it "OK" to beat someone unconcious with a truncheon because they verbally insulted you?? Since when were verbal insults more serious than a vicious attack causing concussion and a head wound requiring 15 stitches??!?

This country has turned into a joke. Nothing surprises me anymore.

By the way I won't read that story, it will just upset me too much. I'm sure this boy's attackers will also plead the "race" card and get away with murder.

it has, I've seen it on the TV, heard it on the radio and read about it in the papers. i read about it some time ago, after the arrests, but it depends what paper you read, station you watch or listen to. its not had as much coverage as the seven lawrence case because a) it was not in London, b) there has been no protests by the public about it,c) they have arrested and convicted the people involved,d) the police have not deliberately or negligently botched the investigation,e) none of the police officers has been accused of taking bungs from the accused relatives to mess up the case. the Scottish police did a good job and got the people involved quickly and got the evidence to convict them, if they had screwed up like the met the papers would be screaming at them.

Wow! That is shocking! They're probably afraid to report it because of the Muslim backlash that the West would get for labeling them "racist." Also, Pakistan is our "ally", so we don't want to piss them off too much. The same stuff happens in Russia. Asians, Africans, and Jews are harassed and have been murdered, and yet no one reports on that because Russia owns the oil. Racism is sometimes political.

Steven lawrence and this boy are both victims of pretence- the law attracts dimwits- it's a fair cop guv - i think the police force should attract intellectuals with analytical minds- not brainwashed civil servants that tick all the boxes for the government of the day!

I agree. I have wanted to ask this same question, but was worried my account would be deleted. We have a plaque to Stephen Lawrence(who did not, of course, deserve to die), a video camera watching that plaque, and a police officer watching that camera! And the death of Stephen is mentioned every year. Kriss was tortured to to death slowly. This story is not mentioned in the press as it is a powderkeg.

BTW, have you seen the paramilitary moslems in Pollockshields, where Kriss was abducted from? They walk 20 strong, all in the same combat gear. Creepy....

I think you answered your own question by stating that it's because he is white. Or it could be that the person was not someone that stood out in the community. Or it could be that the boys parents/relatives are not pushing the authorities enough. And to say that the state of this country is sickening you leaves the door wide open for some BIGOT to say" GET THE HELL OUT THEN."
