Why are all the great rock legends doing reality shows?

If they want to make more money, I would suggest reuniting the band and going on a World Tour and sell tickets out to the fans young and old.

Gene, Tommy, & Ozzy are prime examples.

It's just the flavor of the day. Reality is what is hot now. They still perform but aren't always able to get the whole band together for reunions. I think they are at the point in their lives where they are not totally washed up but still need to put themselves out there and let people know they're still around.

Because they are all money whores, especially Gene. Even a once rockgod like Ozzy will sell out in the end for money. When his show first came I thought it was both funny and interesting, but it took only a few shows to see Ozzy was being used like a puppet, by his wife and MTV, it's sad. Kiss is the worst though, they cared more about the money than the music, who would think 4 jews from New York would think like that? Tommy is just an idiot, grew up to the Crue but after seeing how Tommy acts and treats women I think he's a joke, Meathods of Mayhem? Are you f-ing kidding me. But don't forget about Ted, the republican madman, his show just represents his need for power and control, he would be a cool guy to hang with, for a few minutes. Kiss and Ozzy are too old to give a quality show anymore, and Motley Crue is long dead. I see no difference between say Dr.90210 and Gene's show Family Jewels, actually it's more like Hogan knows Best, all these shows are bad and just show the need for attention from these Old Farts. Do a reality show with Slayer, King Diamond, Hypocrisy, someone who is interesting.

Yeah, you ever been on tour, ducks? It's not as much fun as you'd think. And it's quite demanding. You need to be in prime vocal and physical shape, and you're far from home.

Compare that with being in the comfort of your own home with just a crew of guys with cameras. Not so much demanding now.

To be fair, Ozzy did it first. He was the ground breaker, because up until then, only Average Joes would wind up on "Eat the Bug" or "Give the Rose" type reality shows. Gene and Tommy just kinda sold out.

Ozzy is the only one I would pay to see. The others suck. Seems like they are has-beens that have most likely started running out of cash money. So they do a show to make some liquid money. Fancy houses and cars cost a lot of money, so in order to maintain that lifestyle, they have to do things that are beneath them.
Like Gene for intstance, was in Fresno last week, selling perfume and giving autographs as long as you bought the perfume. Not a bad racket considering the perfume was 40-50 bucks a bottle.

They definitely do not need money. Just look at the houses, furniture, chef's kitchen's, cars, etc. You think they need money??? No way.
Anyway, yes, I'm sure they get paid and wouldn't you like to get paid for doing everyday tasks.
And we as normal people like to watch Millionaires take out the trash, walk the dog, etc.
So everyone wins.

for the money and the fame.. they dont care about music no more there to old got no talent no more so there living it up while they still are alive
