carmex because it is thicker, but if you want chapstick that works miracles, go to a dermatologist, you do not have to have a appointment, and ask for dr dans cortibalm, or order online, it is about five dollars, but anything you can buy at shop-in-a-box stores do not come close to it. or you can go here to order it through a pharmacy..http://www.drdanslipbalm.com/

I have to agree about Burt's Bees. Next choice would be plain chapstick and then carmex

I prefer the Burt's Bees products also, but I exfoliate mine first with a washcloth dampened with warm water. It seems to make the balm work better for me. I also use Blistex Lip Ointment when they get really bad.

Out of the three choices that you have listed I would say that chapstik works the best. But for even better results you should use Burt's Bees lip balm.

Burts Bees brand lip products work like a charm! Even for this harsh winter weather coming up.

I second Burt's Bees lip balm.
Once you try it I guarantee you won't go to any other product for cracked lips.
It has lasting properties and like some of the "tastier" lip products you won't be licking it off or reapplying it so often.

Blistex is great--but hands downt the most emollient lip balm is "kiss me" by philosophy. I can not describe how soft my lips are even in the harshest winter weather! It comes in a pot or tube and an absolute necessity for winter!
