As long as the voltage is a match (both must be 12 V), it will work fine. If the starting system of the tractor uses a LARGE or multiple batteries, allow the pick-up to "charge" the tractor batteries for 10 or 15 minutes after the jumper connection before attempting to start the tractor. This allows more of the amperage to reach the starter through the tractor system, and doesn't force ALL of the starting current to go through the jumper cables and the rather weak connection of the spring clamps.
Good Luck

Sho nuff. Just keep the truck running and let it charge the tractor battery for a while before you start it.

If the voltage on the tractor is 12V like the truck, then it can be done.
