It's tough to call, given that Henderson hasn't played in MLB for the past three years.
In his last season, Rickey's OBP was .321, dismal for a guy who reached base at a .400 clip for his career. Of course, he only had about 90 plate appearances, so that's a small sample size. Franco reached base at a .330 clip in 2006, which isn't horrible, but which would be a brutal year for Rickey.
If Henderson still has some speed and has kept his good eye, then I'd still call him the better player. However, that's all speculation given that he's been playing in the minors/coaching for the past three years.

It's Rickey Henderson considering he can still run and considering he's like 50 he can still run pretty fast. Franco can get the job done in pinch-hit situations but he runs down the line in like 10 seconds and so I would go with Henderson.

Is this really a question? Ricky Henderson still runs from first to second in less than 4 seconds! That's fast as hell for a man who's so far over the hill he's looking at the next one! Julio is okay, he can still play, but Ricky could still be a leadoff man for a mediocare team. I know the Royals and the Pirates could use him.

Julio Franco put some good numbers up for a few years, but Rickey dominated for most of his career. he set the record for steals thirteen seasons into his career and them played for twelve more.

Franco, his work ethic and wisdom is needed on any team especially a team with a lot of young players. Henderson is now to old to do his thing which is steal bases.
