I think its a little sad that some people find it so hard to do activities alone. Granted, sometimes it's more fun with a friend, but if one is not currently available to see a movie, why not enjoy it alone. I've never really wasted my time wondering what others think. I also enjoy sometimes having dinner in a restaurant. I guess it's a good thing I feel this way, because I travel a lot on business, and would hate to constantly be afraid to leave the hotel room!

I've only ever been to a cinema on my own once, and that was cos i had a 4 hr break in between my lectures, while my friends didnt. it felt pretty wierd but it wasnt so bad cos i went to a relatively empty cinema.
It definitely wouldn't be wierd to go to a bar alone. Loads of people do it. Just go there sit at the bar and drink. And when u see someone else alone sitting near by u would most likely go make friends, cos of the alcohol lol.

I don't mind going alone to restaurants to eat and shopping malls to shop. But, I do feel weird and quesy going to the cinema or bar alone. It looks like some lonely girl without friends. Sometimes people might give you the pity stares!

Cinemas alone? Only twice in 58 years . . . so once every 29 years, I guess. Bars and restaurants alone? Yes, a majority of the time.

I occasionally do, but I grew up as an only child and kind of got used to doing some things on my own that traditionally, most of us think about doing in groups. A lot of people I know don't like to eat out by themselves but I do this somewhat regularly and just take a good book along and enjoy myself. I really don't care what anybody that might notice thinks, either.

I myself don't like to go out alone because then you have no one to talk to. If you go to the cinemas with someone than after you can go to the restaurant and discus it with them. Or else you could sit there and talk to your self, but what would be the point? You already know what your going to asking and hopefully should already know the answer!

It is completely dependent upon how much you care what others think... I for one could not give a rats *** what other people think about me for the most part so I go alone almost everywhere I can without the kids... It is my moments peace, alone in the company of my favorite person... MOI!
The last movie I saw alone was Click. I go to bookstores alone, coffe shops, restaurants (for lunch mostly...) and I actually enjoy observing other people, observing me... It is fun to sit and consider what other people are thinking of what you are thinking of them...

I don't mind going to a movie by myself. But a restaurant is a little different because there's no conversation. I bring a magazine or book to look busy.

I rarely go anywhere by myself. I work an alternate schedule and spend most of the week with my son. He goes everywhere with me.
Before my son, I only went shopping by myself. I hated then, and still hate, being alone
