Even if that is his real nickname, I think that MTV has done a disservice by using it on the tv. I hope someone else agrees with me. It's like if it was Rob and Big Whitey, or some other craziness.

Big Black is his nickname. he wouldn't call himself that if he wasnt proud. obviously he has alot of pride. he's black and he's proud. same as some white people that call themselves cracker jack. its just a nickname.

Well if he doesnt find it offensive neither should we. But I get were your coming from Big Black does seem like an offensive nickname but as long as he's ok with it then it shouldnt be that big of a deal

Um if he and his black friends use it then how can it be offensive? You can't say that black people can call him that and white people can't. Perhaps he doesn't take things too seriously and has always been called that.
