The negative ads are really quite vile. Do you think these ads actually show how disgustingly vile politicians are, and how far they are willing to "SPIN" things to make their party look better, and the other party worse?

If this be the case - how much spin do politicians use during their reign of power over all their political opponents, including those of other countries and ideologies when it comes to all things political including wars?

I think it is more an indication of how vile the people are. The sad truth is that attack ads work. It is a lesson that Democrats have been very slow in learning. In the last presidential election, Kerry did not respond to the Swift Boat Veterans ads. He thought if he ignored them, the truth would prevail. It did not. If he wanted to go negative, he could have run ads calling Bush a draft dodger, a former drunk, and a former coke head. If he had, he'd probably be president now.

It is vile the things candidates can and will say about an opponent just for votes. This election has truly reach new highs or would that be lows?

In two case in our state ads are being run by candidates that are out of our voting district . These ads aren't even being run by candidates - "the national democratic party is responsible for this advertisement " they proudly proclaim at the end.

(1)Mike Veon's running for some state office - his ad doesn't outline issues or his ideas - it just has people(supposedly in his district) saying "The other guy is a Republican so we know he is no good".
(2)Ads against Melissa Hart are saying she took money from veterans when in truth she has supported veterans and service personnel.

Any normal person with an iq of 2 could do an internet search and check details and facts but it is easier to rely on ads.

If all is fair in love and war. Politics is the epic novel of disaster.

I would just like to see ads that tell us where the candidate in questions stands on the issues. Nothing else. Attack ads are boring and tiresome.

Yes. I believe that they should actually address the issues rather than bashing the other guy.

I think when the liberals started the negative ads that after a while the Republicans started to fight fire with fire. Not all of course, but some did.
