I disagree. I do agree with the person above me though. Children are victims...also I think it depends on what the crime towards you are.

I agree. Except for things beyond our control, I beleive if your smart enough to take care of yourself, look after your business and open your mind, you have the control of not being a victim of anything

I am not sure about that - some crimes especially against children and the elderly - they do not allow themselves to be a victim - they just are!@

I disagree. You seem to be forgetting about small children who are victims of abuse (sexual or other) who do not know any better yet. They aren't old enough to always know the difference between right and wrong.

Totally agree. When someone is out to do us hurt or harm, the signs are always there to be seen. All too often we just refuse to look. Shame on us. (One caveat to my answer, it applies to adults who should know better, children are of course a whole separate circumstance).

I disgree. . .because you have to give trust sometimes. . .I think you'd be a hard person if you never trusted anyone. . .even though I've been burned before (a long time ago, thank goodness). Now all my friends and my love are trustworthy.
