Both, the wheels of life were set in motion by a supreme being at the start of the universe. We came along when the earth was ready for us. Since our arrival we've been gifted with self awareness in which we have the ability to either flourish or destroy ourselves.
God started life billions of years ago which evolved into us and now we have the chance to maintain this amazing work.

Every fossil, every observation in biology points to evolution. There is nothing that goes against it or points to a different way to scientifically explain modern diversity. There is not one fossil or one piece of DNA that does NOT point to evolution. It would be hard NOT to see the concrete evidence, and only those blinded by faith can do this.
Evolution is 100% world-wide accepted fact, including the evolution of man.
There is ZERO evidence for a higher being causing anything. This is why people who are religious need faith, you can't see or study the actions of a deity, by definition. Evolution has ZERO faith and ALL evidence.
Scientists (real ones) have been studying and supporting evolution for over 150 years, and still nothing has pointed to creationism. There is clear links and transitional forms between everything in the fossil record to the Class-Family level, if not Genus-Species level. And this includes humans, which there are several 'missing links' which are well described and studied, people just choose to ignore this. Sure, there are still things we don't know, but that's why science is not stagnent and dead. We learn more every day, that's what happens when you keep an open mind and follow the scientific method.
There are some areas of evolution in which all of the pieces have not been found in the fossil record, but there is no counter theory that has even ONE piece of evidence that can not easily be explained by evolution.
Let me turn your question around, if Creationism was correct and science could definitively prove Creationism (and thus the existence of God), why would they not? That would be the greatest scientific discovery in the history of the world. No one would pass that up to maintain the 'status quo'. There is no conspiracy to hide creation evidence. Anyone who knows real scientists knows they are glory-mongers first. They love to prove others wrong to enhance their own standing. And if any scientist could prove Creation/God, it would've been done a long time ago.
Go to a museum, take a class in biology, go to reputable sites on the Internet (like AAAS: http://www.aaas.org/news/press_room/evolution or http://www.talkorigins.org ) and find out for yourself.

I truly believe after many years of being an agnostic that we were created by God. Let me start by saying that if we are to believe natural evolution then me must also believe that the universe was created by the big bang theory. What caused the big bang? Where did the materials come from that were cast out from the big bang to create planets and moons and suns? Nobody can answer those question with any certainty. According the Natural evolution every life form on the planet started from a single cell amoeba. Where did the amoeba come from? What in its biological structure told it when it reproduced and split as all amoeba are A-sexual, what changes in itself it needed to make? Are we still evolving there are people that say yes but they are referring to an intellectual and psychological evolution. Which is a result of free will which is a gift we were endow with by our creator. Are we still evolving? I don't believe so. Evolution was a process by which organism could obtain adaptability in their surroundings. Does that mean all mother will one day have eyes in the back or their head and ten arms to keep everything in its place. No Evolution is a theory that was dreamed up by someone who was afraid of the truth. God does exist and he made all thing.
As far as dolphin having an extra set of fin that scientist think may be the beginning of evolution into legs should think about toxic exposure, sounds more like a mutation not evolution.
As far as evidence of a higher power I guess the dead sea scrolls are just some hoax to you. I don't expect to convince you of how I believe and you will never convince me that I came from slime. The questioner asked for our thought and these are mine, like it, don't like it, it doesn't really matter to me.

I believe we are here as a result of evolution. I have seen enough evidence to believe it to be a decent enough explanation. Evolution, to me, explains everything that was here before humans, and what happened.
As for the Creation Story, I am not a believer in that. It starts to make you question, well if God created us, then who created God? The big bang theory suggests the universe started off as an atom, then there was, A Big Bang. That theory suggests what was there before the universe. The idea of God, however, is that He had no creator (as far as we know). So what put him there to begin with?
So, anyway, I believe humans are here by natural evolution. We have evolved from the survivors of the dramatic environmental change that defined Earth's Old and New World primates

"notably advanced" is something strange, once Humans kills each other, destroy entrie planet, are running to deplet it. Huge amount of pop are suffering from all tricks in pandora's box; Since industrial revolution, people got rights and also more and more work (once technology should solve this problem).
I can say that humans are more aggressive race and also most creative and inventive.
Notable advanced are Whales and Gorillas.
Good and calm life is better than hurry/stress/frustration/war
Ok, there is something good (but nothing if forever), but entire humanity is going to the wrong way. ... selfdestruction by slow agony.
Greater designer probably have strange sense of humor.
Humans exists due natural evolution. Sure greater designer named it Caos. The is no creation but indirect action from eternal sequence of events where first hit comes from Him;
Luck in your research.

Who told you evolution is a proven fact? No, they made up the whole story. You mean we slowly evolved from a monkey to a human? Ridiculous! You should be as dumb as that to believe it. Evolution is in-fact THE GREATEST FAIRY TALE for everyone on the earth. They make it seem scientific by adding terms like DNA, molecules, genome.............. They(so said scientific community) succeeded because they are smart enough to tell the evolution story and you are dumb enough to believe it.
Nothing called the missing link. We were all created unique by GOD. If you can believe in the evolution theory, well and good. A big bang(rapture) is expected no sooner than that. You'll get your answers then. I can give you all the lies that the scientific community has to offer about evolution and how it's NOT TRUE.

the most popular therory to the origin of the universe, suggets
that all matter came from a big explosion 'the big bang'. from this the building block of life...the cell .devolped, and everything else evolved from this
although we are taught this theory is fact,we must remember that this is ONLY A THEORY. A theory without proof falls down.
in essece the theory is saying that everything came from nothing without a cause. if we saw a car, even though we cant touch, smell, hear or feel what made it we know the parts did not join together and make itself. Even if we waited for a million years we know the car could or would not evolve from nothing or even it;s basic parts!!if someone said this we would think they are made. Yet we are told that something a million times complex came about by chance!!
you may ask what about the proof the found like the 'piltdown man' or the 'nebraska man'.The 'pitdown man' turned out to be a hoax with a jaw of an orang-utan and human skull joined together. The 'nebraska man' was based on a single tooth that turned out to be that of a pig,BUT from this they drew him and his family!they also found a fossil archaeopteryex which was meant to be the trasitional form between reptiles and birds, i.e the ancesters for all birds. However in 2000 they found a fossill that was 75 million years older and to the amazement of evolutionist it WAS NO DIFERENT TO MODERN BIRDS.This backs that life stared in a complex form in an act of creation.
We know that explosions all cause disorder, yet we are told that the chaos after the big bang led to order and the formation of the stars, planets and people without cause and by chance. The 2nd law of thermodynamics is one of the most basic laws of physics, and states that under normal conditions all systems disintergrate or become more disorderd with time unless enerygy is supplied to give it order for example humans die plants rot and decay.yet the therory of evolution goes against this very basic and important scientific law, suggesting we get an increse in order (more advanced life forms etc over time without any external force. of course there is a god, and he is Allaah, the most high

Darwinism was a good idea and that was all it was, there as never been found A, or "The Missing Link" and it is now obvious there never will be. We as humans were Genetically Engineered, if we were supposed to come from apes why are transplants between our species not possible. The nearest animal that can be used is a pig, and a few experiments have been carried out to good effect. Regarding God if you think of him as an extra-terrestrial then you can see the possible answer in a different light.

Evolution is now a proven fact. People who look for missing links don't understand genetics: the genetic information is stored in digital, not analog, form, so there is at least a minimun change caused by a one-bit change in the DNA, but there is NO MAXIMUM: a one-bit change can activate an intron (or de-activate all or any part of an exon), resulting in an arbitrarily large change in the daughter species.

Actually according to phylogenetic data ( comparison of genomes) which is completely objective, there is more genetic diversity between individual humans than there is between races. There are millions of missing links have you ever heard of ring species? there are two species of gull that cannot interbreed but if you follow the gull populations around the world there are thousands of gulls that are intermediates between the two distinct species. Athough they are completley different they are connected by a series of interbreeding intermediate population. the only reason these ring species are special is that the intermediates are still alive today if all the organisms that ever exsisted were alive today everyone could see the gradual progression that is evolution. human diversity arises via genetic mutations not by natural selection. by the way not my opinion but the opinion of the worlds leading scientists and all their evidence.
