Goal setting is vital in any organization because it is in essence, a road map of where you want to go.
Goals need to be set in writing or else they are just dreams.
If they are written down, then you are charting the course for where you want to be. You then break them down into yearly, monthly, weekly and daily tasks.
You can compare it to saying you are going on a trip but you don't know where. So you load everyone into the car and just go. But you have no idea where you are actually going.
A road map and itinerary might be helpful in order to decide where you want to go!
The scopes are endless and there really aren't any limitations in goal setting. If you aim high, but keep your goals realistic, you will grow. If you aim too low, then you need to reset your goals or you will never go anywhere.

Moving forward in a particular direction is a Goal.
"Jab tak sochoge nahin ki kya karna he kahan jana he tab tak kya karoge or kahan jaoge."
So it has to be there whether it is for an organisation or life.
