use some aloe vera gel to calm the burning and then next time use a new blade every time you shave down there. THe skin is very thick and the blade must be sharp. Then always put aloe vera on right after shaving.

I have been shaving down there (front & back) for over 20 years with no problems. You need to use a good razor and the skin will toughen up with repeated shaving. For now, use plain face cream with Aloe to help the pain. When you shave down there, do not apply to much pressure to the area because that will cause the symptons you are experiencing.

There should not be a next time! You have sensitive skin. You need the hair to protect it. People with skin like a rhinoceros can shave down there (but it looks freaky!) - people with senstive skin get decidedly unsexy bumps, zits, and rashes. Waxing might even be worse; I wouldn't risk it. Let the hair serve its protective function.
