To catch mice isn't a problem, to rid you house of their return is. They gain entry thru any hole as big a round as your little finger. This can be a loose fitting door a hole around your foundation, or even thru a telephone wire entry point on the bond of your house. Fill these with steel wool and some chaulk. The best way of catching mice is still the good old mouse trap. I find it easier to attach a piece of string to the trap and attach the string to a nail so that the traps don't get dragged all over by unkilled mice or also to make it easier to haul the trap to the trash. Since these traps are cheap, buy a bunch. Place them where the kids and pets can't readily get at them. Preferably under a sink behind an appliance. Somewhere close to a wlall. Mice travel along the walls. Now, why I don't reccomemmend poisons. When the mice eat poison- they die wherever they die, they decompose and attract flies and other insects to eat them. No imagine if they die inside a wall or your furnace ductwork. I have charged big bucks to remove mice/ rodents from ducts and then disinfect the area. How does 180.00 sound because you didn't want to touch a mouse trap? Also, if you have pets and they eat the mice- the poison is transferred. See, it is better to just trap them. use peanut butter to bait your traps, mice don't really like cheese that much.

The best answer would be to get a cat. Not only do you eradicate the mice problem, but your children gain a pet.

they will come in regardless of what you do the best you can do is make them uncomfortable for them and they will leave. Remove there source of food and water. Get a barn cat to stay with you for awhile
