Run a search on coupon codes through any popular engine. Use those codes on corresponding websites for laptops. I found a great dell coupon and was able to buy my 720m Dell Laptop for almost 1/2 price after making all my customizations. Ebay will probably provide great prices but unless a warranty is provided, I wouldn't trust it - you cannot customize these laptop's either. My advice is Dell.

yes customizing is good too ! You can try by HP at their online srore and make your own . They have good Hp products and the ones from Compact. I am happy with the on I made and got away with about 900$ for the specific things I wanted . When you make your own make sure you get a double processor ! Will definately speed things up ! And enough memory!
Plus you get free shipping !
Good luck !

I personally think Dell is the best computer to customize, and buy on-line. I have ordered 3 lap tops from them, and never a problem.

Try Cherry Computers...the prices are a LOT lower than HP's. You can get one of those computers...I don't know what they're called, where you can flip the screen around for only $700 but if you want one on the HP site, it's around $1200.

gateway had some good ones cheap a few months ago. Dell has good prices, but a friend of mine got 2 and they kept breaking. HP has good deal on TV too. Check them out.
