Do you mean a launderette?

An "appliance store" is where you would purchase a washing machine. A "launderette" is another name for a "laundromat", basically, a store with installed washing machines you pay for to wash your clothing.

If you are buying it, its an electrical store. Taking your washing to the shop, then what you are after is in england a laundrette, and in the U.S. a laundromat
