I have had my Xbox 360 since jan. 1st 2006 and never had any problems out of it, as of this morning i turned it on and i get a flashing red power button and it goes to a screen that says system failure, E 74 or E 76 I dont remember now for sure, does anyone know what this code means? I played Carbon till midnight last night and had no problems with it, 7:30 am this morning its dead!!!!

I spoke with microsoft, they want me to ship it to the repair center, if it is an update issue and they are fixing it, should i wait before sending it off, i dont know if i can make it 2 or 3 weeks without my xbox......i updated it yesterday and didnt even think of that.

I had the same problem with my system. I had to ship it back to Microsoft and they shipped me back another broken system. This cycle continued and continued and now I am on my sixth Xbox 360 system which has been working well for about two months. Good luck, you're going to need it.

The warning you are getting is from the new update they installed. They working on fixing it now.

You should have never brought it.Most 360s die after very long use
