i had my harddrive partition for ubuntu and windows xp... now that i uninstalled ubuntu i want the space.....for windows xp but the space isn't auto appearing for me... can someone please help me....

That's because that space is partitioned in a different file system that Windows doesn't recognize. There is a program called Gparted. Download it and burn it to cd. Then boot off of it. It will allow you to extend the windows partition to the whole drive. I haven't had any issues with it.

Sorry you can't change partition size after operating systems have been installed. Unless the full partition is allocated at the beginning of the hard drive install and you use thrid party windows software to create different partitions.
