Foundation or not?

Question

do you prefer girls to wear foundation or not ? what looks better? Thankyou

I asked this because I have never worn foundation but always thought it looked good on other girls so I bought a foundation and just put it on and it matches my skin tone. So I asked my mum what she thought and she said she thought I looked better without it (more natural)

oh and she said it doesn't look caked on but you can tell i have foundation on. Oh and my dad said it looks better.

I think it depends on your skin type. If your skin tone is even, all one color, and all that, then I think you don't need it! But most of us have uneven skin tone so we need foundation to cover it up. I have been using bare minerals for a while, and it doesn't look like I wear makeup at all, but my skin looks perfect...so it looks naturally perfect!!

Be careful if you have sensitive skin to get a foundation suitable. Mine makes me come out in a bit of excema. But it's worth it, it looks nice. Just apply one thin layer, and get one that matches your skin tone. If you have normal skin then just use concealer. Always use a good cleanser to remove your makeup, and always remove your makeup before going to sleep. Makeup clogs the pores which can cause spots, and the wrong foundation can aggravate dry skin. So use it sparingly. I just use mine for going out. Then people notice the difference between the me glammed up and me working. I must stop getting distracted from my essay now...

Hey Bbz,
I think it depends on who you are, some people need foundation to even out skin tone or to hide blemishes / spots.
If your skin looks good without it then your really lucky, as many people that wear foundation, wish they could get away with out having to wear it.
In my opinion, you can pull it off without it so you should save foundation for special occasions when you want to look a little more glamorous or when you need it for blemishes.
Also, when you wear foundation, it does clog up pores and can lead to spots, especially if you dont take it off properly or clense thoroughly.

if you dont wear foundation, then never use it again!!!
i (and a lot of my mates) only wear it to cover up bad skin, which started by wearing bloomin' foundation!!!
it is the absolute ruin of skin, it does not look natural at all, and you can get addicted(seriously). i do not feel acceptable without foundation on now, i dont really like the look of my skin without it, my skin wouldve been alright if i never wore the stuff

Foundation looks better than nothing because with foundation you have no issues with you skin and you need concealer to hide them bags and make sure it is lighter than you skin color but make sure your foundation is the color of you skin

I think subtle foundation always looks better unless you've been fortunate enough to get a nice sun tan. But don't overdo it, caked on looks terrible

Personally I use tinted moisturiser because it doesn't look orange and appears more natural looking, it also doesn't clog up your skin, obviously as it acts as a moisturiser aswell. I used to wear foundation but it didn't help my skin!

i dont use liquid foundation, depending on the brand, it can cause you to break out, but i do think that a little foundation looks good. i use a powder foundation from bare minerals that works reallly good, and its very natural but does the job.

Foudation is great. You can get is with a very light coverage so it is undetectable. If you are worried about the color, just go to a cosmetic counter at a dept. store and they will match you with your perfect shade. I know Estee Lauder will match you and send you home with a 3 day supply of your perfect match so you can try it at home!!!

If your skin is so nice that you dont have to wear foundation then dont. Sounds to me like you dont need it.
