My wife bought me a nokia 6280 from the o2 shop. now there was a problem with it when she got it. She sent it back to o2 and they sent it to be repaired to the nokia service centre. It came back and the fault was still there, so she sent it back. They could not repair the phone so they replaced it. With a reconditioned one. I chalenged them on why she paid £220 for a new phone but got a reconditioned on back. The moral of this is so everyone knows the policy of O2, when you buy a phone, no matter how much it cost, there poicy is to replace with seconed hand goods. Would you buy a shirt, take it back if it was faulty and accept one that someone else has worn??? I think not... The question is do you think I have done right in bringing this to other peoples attention???

I think you should tell them to stick it, and ask for a full refund! Buy from O2 online instead, the contract deals are better and they seem far more helpful than O2 stores.

Yes, I think you have, I personally don't have an O2 phone, but if I was thinking of buying a new one, it would certainly make me think twice about buying from that network.

thank you very much for bringin this to my attention, but personally, when you get a contract phone you should get insurence Gold but only if the phone is expensive, and with the insurance they guarantee a brand new replacement, my dad changed his o2exec with a brand new one, and they didnt even take the charger or anything they only took the handset.
soo next time you get an expensive phone make sure you get insurance.

You certainly have, you've done well to bring that to our attention, but still, you got a service from them, unlike Orange, who don't help you at all.
