Its not loud, but is noticable. It also does it sometime when Ive been driving for a while, I come to a stop, and when I accelerate I can here the rattling. Some people said it was something dealing with a heat sheild or something like that. But to any mechanics is there anything I can do to fix this minor problem that aggorvates me. If I dont fix this problem will it cause more damage???? Help please thanks

Well, if it is a heat shield rattling, usually you can put another clamp on it, or reshape it away from the exhaust pipe. It might be spark knock, have you tried running premium fuel, if it goes away,it is spark knock which means that your timing is retarded, allowing detonation. Without hearing the noise, it is tough to figure out, but the heat shield would be kind of a coffee can rattle noise, spark knock sounds like a light rattle that is worse on light accel, but goes away with harder accel or when you let off the gas.

The obstacle is what you name damn. A clattering kind sound is normally the cat warmth protect breaking free. That's an effortless one. Even the trader does not advocate looking to re-weld it. They simply placed a few colossal hose clamps across the complete factor. Clunking noises have a tendency to be suspension accessories. It could take an inspection at a truly alignment situation to uncover that. I bet I'm now not psychic, like all of the posters who look to grasp precisely which of the handfuls of chances it's.

A heat shield. Some cat shields you can fix with hose clamps that are better than the flimsy tack welds. Don't listen to any idiot who says take it off. It's not there just for decoration. They keep parts of you car from cooking other parts and starting fires.
