Look in Pawn Shops for used guitars. Put an ad in the local paper under the wanted section. Offer to do odd jobs for a guitar.

I found a guitar on eBay for less than 5 dollars. Granted, it's kinda crappy, but if you want to play, then it'll work for the time being.

go to a pawn shop. I bought by first Bass guitar from one for $25! Good luck!
