I'm about to get another computer, and I'm just wondering if it is possible to have 2 versions of windows installed onto a computer at once. If so, how would I go about doing that, and how would I load the version I want each time I start my computer.

Thanx in advance for any assistance.

: )

By the way, I want 2 versions because I have some software that I still use that runs better under windows 98 than 2000 or xp.

: )

You'll have to create a dual boot. Meaning you will have to partition the drive in two parts.

Here's a website that can help you

Yes, I have 2 versions running on this computer. I use this one as a backup, also have a new one downstairs.
When I bought this computer, it had windows 98se on it, and I also received a free cd upgrade to windows me. All I did was load windows me, right on this machine. They both work good, I didn't have to partition the hard drive, or anything else. They both show up in the start menu, and I just click on the version I want to use. I have never had any problems doing this. I have 320 mgs of ram on my computer, you probably will need at least 256. Just give it a try, you can always delete, if it doesn't work right..good luck..
