Yes, check with your local hardware store, or building supply store. Like Lowes, or HomeDepot

You can get Appliance Paint from Home Depot, Ace hardware and maybe the auto parts store if they have a paint section. It comes in a can and sprays on. As far as technique, I would try to find another appliance (junk) and practice so you see what works best. Some people say painting after the dew settles in the morning is best since that is when most of the dust is out of the air.... Good luck!

Appliances can be repainted by a pro, who uses an electrical system that charges the metal. I had it done. I didn't find it to be expensive. It will last a long time, but not as long as the original finish.
If you are not concerned about a glossy finish, you can prepare the original coat with a deglosser and merely paint the appliance with a brush or spray. It would lack the sheen of a newly finished refrigerator.

RE:
is there a brush on appliance paint for refrigerators?
I'm looking for a matte black finish paint to change refrigerator color from almond to black. The appliance has a textured finish.

The problem with this is going to be appliances are painted with epoxy paint. They do make appliance paint but most of them require you to take off the existing finish. There is also a spray appliance paint and that can cover an existing pain but it is really thin and easily comes off. It will also be hard to find appliance paint in black. You can try regular rustoleum spray paint but you'd have to sand down the entire appliance to make it an acceptable surface for the spray paint.

The only way to do this right is what jack said. You've got to get a professional who can do electrostatic painting. It's probably going to run you about $250-500 depending on how difficult your application is.
Now, for a little more than $500, why not get a new fridge? Or better yet, look for a used black fridge on craigslist.org
Good Luck

I don't know about painting the finish, but I do know that they now make stick-on laminate refridgerator panels that can change the finish of your fridge to say "Stainless Steel" instead of White. If you do a clean job, your old fridge can look BRAND NEW on the outside.
I'll post a couple of links to vendors below.
