Hi,
Interesting post. I started my eBay selling "adventure" about 4 years ago. I tried unsuccessfully on and off for about 2 years to sell products on eBay. There are so many factors that need to be right in order for people to bid.
I had this nagging feeling that it's a solid business model to sell on eBay, so I didn't give up. My wife was watching TV and saw an infomercial for a course to learn how to sell and be successful on eBay. She bought it for me for my birthday 2 years ago, and I'm EXTREMELY successful at selling on eBay on.
When I saw your question I looked to see if the same kit is still being sold, and I found it for FREE on the Internet! They're only asking $1.95 for shipping!!!!!

I highly recommend this course if you want to be successfull, and you certainly can't be $1.95
Good Luck

Here's a link to ebays list of fees -
http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/fees.html
Think about your starting price, it's an auction not a shop, if you list it at a high price all you'll get is a bill for the listing fees. Nobody will bid on an item with a starting price close to its value, people are looking for a bargain aren't they?
If you put a reserve price on the auction then you don't have to sell it if it doesn't get a high enough bid - costs you extra on the fees though!

First of all on an online auction you let the bidding start low or you won't get any bids at all. The fees are not that bad. Note: The high your starting bid is the higher the fees you pay are.
Be honest and very descriptive and have a picture of your product. 1JTTech

you will have to pay a listing fee based on the price you start the item at. so if you start it at a lower price the fee will be less. if you worried that it will not sell for enough do a reserve auction. that way you are protected. if you do sell the item eBay will charge you a commission based on the selling price. the best way to pay and receive online payments is through paypal but then you have to pay them fees also.

there are answers to all your questions on the help section of ebay selling. The final value cost you have to pay if you sell your item is not that big. You can find all these answers on Ebay. Go to the site map that they have on most all pages there. You can start your item at any price, but the lower you start it the lower you pay for inserting it. You can put a reserve on it, which means you wont sell your item lower than the reserve. No one sees the reserve but you. Like I said though, Ebay is easy to sell items on and the help section will explain it all. Selling is easy there and I sold my car there and made 1,0000!!! Good luck!

EBay is very good at answering these questions if you take the time to look for the answers. DON'T PANIC, just remain calm and take the time to read through the ebay help stuff. If I can do it you can too!

Lets make it easy folks. I clicked on help then typed in e-bay fees. Go to the link below and select the category you would best fit into for your fee quotes.
