It is a good place to go on holiday any time of year as it has a fantastic thing there:

a fantastic and wonderful system of caves full of stalactites with guided tours. This is a great day out and is not affected by the weather.
Also Nerja has a very ancient and historic aquaduct you can see and some great beaches (although in December to sea will be a bit too cold to swim in!).

Here are some pictures of Nerja. As you can see there is a lot to do for young and old alike. If you are over 18 beer and wine are cheap in Nerja in winter so you can enjoy a tasty tapas and a nice drink.
Also Nerja is not far from Malaga which has fantastic shops, a magnificant castle and lots of bars and clubs.
Have a great time!

Hey, Nerja is lovely in the summer, for younger and older people, depending on what you want. It's a quiet place, quite Spanish too, although getting more touristy these days. I'm young and I liked it in the Summer, not sure what its like in December though.
Its close to Africa, so its not freezing cold but I think maybe things might close down a bit in December, but don't quote me on it! I just don't think you'll see Nerja at its full potential, going in December.
Hope you have a nice time if you decide to go. :-)

Well, I went in summer and it was a very quiet resort - nice for families, but I imagine too quite for younger people.
Winter would be worse I imagine
