i went to the doctors and took a preg test and it showed negative then an hour later they told me it was postive what does this mean?

I would have asked the doctors that.. maybe they made a mistake... I would take another test

I agree with you. It does seem weird. Is it possible that they did two different tests? Sometimes if the first one is negative they will do another just to be sure.
If one of the two tests was positive that means you are definitely pregnant. It is possible to get a false negative but if the test is positive, you are pregnant.
It seems odd the way they did it and I would have asked them to explain.
That fact aside, you are pregnant.

This is normal. Sometimes the projestoran level is low and it takes a whiel to show up, or a stronger more sensitive test.
I would ask the dr to do another test in a day or two.

get another test done just to be sure
