The Andalucian mountains are beautiful and if you go as far as Granada you are only 30 mins from the seaside. There are some lovely villas around that area if you drive, they are right up in the mountains.
I know they're a little expensive but I would highly recommend:

I suggest Soller for it's beauty or Alcudia on Majorca for the perfect holiday destination for little ones, it's only 2 hours approx on the plane and they are so good with kids in all the restaurants, alcudia has 11 ks of coastline and there are some fantastic villas too. Theres lovely kids playgrounds everywhere also so in the evenings they can play there when the sun goes down.

Try Cadiz, Andalusia, Granada, or camping Huelva if you fancy something a bit quieter. All these places are amazing and well worth a visit. Surf the net a bit an see what you find. Good luck!

I agree with Vikki, we went to a lovely place last year way up in the mountains, scary dirt road to get there but it was superb and it was near torre del mar, Axarquia region, but we like it quiet, malaga was about 1 hour drive away

You should try Tarifa. It's in Cadiz so you could fly into malaga or Gibraltar. It is beautiful and unspoiled with amazing views of Africa, or try Ronda, high up in the mountains but an amazing place.
