Last month I found out we are having twins. I would like to know if there are any tips people have for twins before birth and after.

Congratulations! I have 10-month old identical twins. Here's a few tips:

1. Read up and plan now for those first few weeks. Some resources that I found helpful were: a. The book Double Duty by Christina Baglivi Tinglof. It was full of great practical tips for surviving those first few weeks.

2. Find your local Mothers of Multiples Club. They were a great help during pregnancy and beyond. I was able to get some great tips about resources in my area and more. You can't officially join until your multiples are born but they usually have resources available to you during pregnancy.

3. Find an online forum/message board. I couldn't have survived with out www.twinstuff.com message board. However, I know that there are also other message boards available.

4. Ask for help. I know that many new parents say that they had too many visitors when their baby was born. This is not the case for parents of twins. We were thrilled when someone came to visit. It was one less baby to hold. :-) I was really bad at asking for help until my girls were born.

I hope this helps! Good luck with your pregnancy and birth.

Hi. My wife and I are the proud parents of 8-month-old triplets. Life is pretty crazy. We also have a 6-year-old boy. He's a good helper sometimes, but also needs his share of attention and supervision. We were very, very lucky not to have had any problems. In fact, we've been so blessed with our experience that we're trying to share some of the things we've learned with other multiple parents. We've set up a website, http://www.mostlymultiples.com that I hope you'll find helpful in learning about twins. Check out "The Basics" page, which contains a ton of facts about multiple births. Good luck!
