Flow charts! I love flow charts!

OK, a flow chart is a diagram that moves with lines and arrows from one shape to another. Normally the shapes and arrows "move" from the top to the bottom.

Certain SHAPES have specific meanings, for example, a "diamond" is a decision (usually with two lines poking out the bottom, one for "yes" and one for "no.")

If you get the SHAPES right and the logic of the situation correct, you have a powerful tool. Go to the link below, use it to hand draw a flow chart, then do one with a rules and pencil -- or -- do one on "Power Point" if you are familiar with it or know someone who can turn your hand-drawn draft flow chart into a power point printout.

Give yourself extra credit by carefully selecting the right shapes and by including a glossary of which shapes were used and what they mean.

alrite u do a flowchart by making boxes, then attaching lines with arrows of them, which link to other boxes, and so on. anyways, in those boxes, you can have a question or a task. then , if its a question, you have the answers going in different directions. it can be used as a key as well, like does it have wings, if yes does it have legs etc. until you get to a specific thing. anyways, often (we use this for Food Tech) u just write the tasks in boxes, make an arrow, and write the next one underneath. and so on, then u write the time it took for each task and add them up along the sides.
good luck!
