what does it mean when u have a preg test and for the first 5 minutes its negative but then after an hour its positive?? what does this mean?

It means either you are not pregnant or you are! Leave it a few days and retest. The test is not designed to be read after an hour.

Most pregnancy tests "turn" positive after a lengtly time. If the test gives you a certain time to see the results, that's your result at that time period. If the test says 5 minutes, and at 5 it reads negative, that's your result. If you're not sure, take another test.

You shouldn't read a negative after 5 minutes because the other line will appear, faintly but it's there so I suggest to go to your doctor & get a pee test done.. It's 100% accurate & then you will know.. Those HPT's are enough to drive you crazy! I took 5 on my daughter before I got a positive & got 2 negatives on this pregnancy so I just went to my doctor!.. I think that it means you are pregnant because some tests are valid for an hour. Maybe you should go to Dr's and have a blood test or take another home preg test!!!

Try taking another test, but they say you're only suppose to take the result in the first 5-10mts. Anything after that will be a false result.

that means your pregnant. But get another one and take the test the first thing in the morning they say thats when you will have the best results.

the directions say not to read them after 5 minutes. if you took a pregnancy test and you were pregnant, it would show pregnant almost immediately. they're pretty accurate that way.
if you are doubtful, take another test!

why are you still looking at it an hour later? It should by then be in the trash, but when in doubt do another and throw it away this time! Good luck.

it means do another whenever i used them it changed to one or the other pretty fast
