I recently received an older model KitchenAid- K45 to be exact. I want to disassemble it to get it nice and clean before use. However I am unable at this time, do to lack of knowledge, to completely get it disassmbled. Does anyone know how to take one completely apart? And could I get the instructions to do so? Thank you!!

If you are an inexperienced technician or layperson, I would strongly discourage you from tearing the entire appliance apart. Once you expose the guts of the machine, you could easily disturb the more sensitive electrical components and do more damage.

Like the lady above said, I'd just give the exterior a thorough cleaning. If that is unsatisfactory, you can get factory refurbed KitchenAids on Ebay for pretty cheap. I just bought one for my dad's Christmas gift a few weeks back for like $160 (that included shipping).

Good luck and have fun.

Those things were built pretty tough so I wouldn't worry about taking it apart. Clean the outside thoroughly and all will be well. You've got a great new toy!

It's pretty much a common scenes thing. the most important part to remember is how it came apart. and you ca remember by drawing pictures or taking pictures with camera as you go along.
